This is Asleep at the Wheel. They're a Texas swing band from Austin, TX, among other places. I first heard them in about 1972 in the southern Metro (Minneapolis) at a dinner theatre. They opened for Johnny Cash and June Carter Cash. I was so impressed. They've been around about 34 years now and just keep getting better and better. The band has changed members over the years, but Ray Benson has always been there and has always kept the band together. Their newest album is called Willie and the Wheel, with Willie Nelson.
