This started out as a blog to promote my novels. My penname is April Knight. It has now become somewhat of a political blog, although you'll also find other topics as well.

H1N1 Influenza Virus
This morning I attended a mandatory H1N1 training. All MDH employees are required to take this training. It was very informative. The Minnesota Department of Health hopes for the best but is prepared for the worst. The Minnesota Department of Health takes H1N1 very seriously. The Department is working very closely with Homeland Security to prepare for possible consequences of H1N1. The worse case scenario is that 30% of the population may be unable to work because of personal illness or because of needing to stay at home to care for a sick child or other relative.
To prevent flu infection, cover mouth with tissue or sleeve when coughing and/or sneezing; wash hands frequently for 20 seconds each time; eat healthy, exercise and get enough sleep. If you're sick, stay home.
Here's a chart that shows H1N1 activity in Minnesota.

My first novel, The Gentleman in the Lake, was published July 2008. My second novel is due out soon.
Currently my pet project is making sure that we get a DFL governor in November.
